I know you meant that, Foodie, it's impossible not to like the Anne series. JI sounds like the kind of parent who will read something along with his child (because by then maybe his daughters will be reading "Anne..." on their own). He seems to be in touch with his feminine side too!

Has anyone heard Paul Simon's song to his little girl - I've forgotten the title but it was featured in "The Wild Thornberries" and it is fantastic. It's my husband's song for our daughter and I myself tear up whenever I hear it and think of my own dad (who died 2 years ago). I wonder if Jason has h...

Thanks for the sympathy guys...sometimes I think that if I wasn't always so worried about money my life would be perfect. Then i remind myself that if money is the worst of my worries (and not health or relationships or family) then I am actually really blessed. I've worked on many different titles ...

I'm an artist/illustrator and most of my work is in the field of comic books. Right now I do retouching and sound effects on manga (Japanese comics). I'm sent the original art and a translated script and I have to do all the Japanese text in English. It's actually pretty fun but yeah, the exchange r...

I for one have really felt the effects. I live in Canada but earn US dollars (I freelance for a company in San Francisco) and I have seen a 30% drop in my revenue. With 4 kids and all their activities, schooling and dental bills, it's been a very belt-tightening tough last couple of years. :(

Maybe not all curses or spells break necessarily after a wizard's death, especially if they make them permanent. Dumbledore's protective spells on Hogwarts still worked after his death for example.

I've read about 15 of her books and feel like a wise old aunt has passed away...although a bit self-indulgent at times, what kept drawing me back was the themes of the importance of family and keeping an open mind while knowing your own values.

Are you sure it's definitely based on it? I thought it might have been, especially with Deco looking at the camera and laughing, it is reminiscent of one of the people at the table looking so happy about the turkey. I wasn't sure, though, and I haven't actually seen that painting in a long time. Is...

Was that dead body Pete??? Any more thoughts on the trailer? I'm thinking, together with Jason's comments that this season Michael is like "a wounded animal", in the trailer he looks confused, disturbed, and even pathetic in his various scenes, especially with Freddy and Tommy. I have a feeling in t...

Here's a link, Hil. http://www.comingsoon.net/films.php?id=19274 I heard an interview with Simon Mayo (I do love him) and Jim Broadbent and it peaked my curiousity. I did hear about The Last Legion, which got so-so reviews, not terrible but not any good. Just sort of...there. I'd rather see Colin Fi...

Stockholm Sydnrome as a plot device? Hmmmm...... See, that sounds way too intelligent for Jan De Bont, so my sinking feeling is it's just gonna be Speed in an RV. I guess I should be glad it's a higher profile role for him but the interviews and articles will all be about Jason playing the villain ...

We just watched "Vertigo" which I hadn't seen since college. They sure don't make 'em like this anymore. I just love James Stewart in everything.
