I bought a Mickey Mouse ceramic light-up Christmas house decoration that was originally $79 for $20. That's a pretty good deal, in my opinion!

If this snow ever stops and melts enough in time, we'll go to our church's Candlelight service and then on to my family's Christmas Eve gathering. Then on Christmas day we go to my grandparent's house for gifts and dinner. We'll be doing ham with cranberry glaze and homemade au gratin potatoes. It m...

Isn't the role of the President to act as the highest-ranking public servant in the nation? Yes he's/she's a leader, but he is also a servant to the nation. That means we have the right to critique his/her performance. We have the right in this country to express our frustration and dislike of peopl...

I dont think throwing a pair of shoes is a good way of showing your dissapointment. What did that guy achieve? Broken ribs and jail. But at least it wasn't as violent of an attack as it could have been. It could have been a lot worse. And throwing shoes may not be a bad insult to us, but to the man...

I had a great Thanksgiving, but we ended up with waaaayyyy too many mashed potato leftovers. So, if anybody has any good recipes to share for leftover mashed potatoes, I'd love to hear them! I already found a pierogi recipe that calls for some, I'm hoping to try it out tomorrow.

I don't feel sorry for him at all, I mean, he didn't make any effort to try and shake anybody else's hand. If he'd tried to shake all their hands and had been denied, then maybe I'd feel a slight twinge of sorry for him. I dunno, I just don't think he cares anymore. He's on his way out, and from the...

I gave Hilary a fair shot when all of this first started. I absolutely believe that a woman should be president and can be one day soon. But I felt that she ran her campaign very much the same way McCain did, divisively and dishonorably. It really turned me away from her and towards Obama, who was r...

Oh the bittersweetness. Act 1 in Arkansas, Amendment 2 in Floria and Proposition 8 in California just make it all feel like one step forward, three steps backward. I was talking about the irony of this with a friend last night. The country votes in the first African American president while other p...

I've gone through three kleenex's tonight. This is just an amazing moment in our country's history. It makes me proud to be an American. I will never forget this night. :D
