Re: Full Size Jason!!11

Hahah! Yeah, I saw that, too. And there is one for Loki as well. Part of me is like, "well that might be nice," but the other part of me is like "seriously? Come on. You know that would be the cause of endless mockery by all of your friends and your family if Loki (or Lorca) was suddenly standing in...

Re: Reviews

So I looked up my zip code and Death of Stalin on Fandango, because I am as impatient as Cookie Monster while waiting for cookies to come out of the oven to see this movie. And while Himself may not be in the whole movie, what to my wondering eyes did appear? Two photos (the only two so far) of Jaso...

Re: Star Trek Discovery discussion (Spoilers)

I wasn't sure where to put this, but it seems like it could be sort of spoiler-y. Lorca seems like he's a complicated guy. *waggles eyebrows* Complicated guys are interesting fictional characters - let's hope they don't drop the ball on his story. http://comicbook.com/tv-shows/2017/10/29/star-trek-d...

Re: Trailers, interviews and more.

I wish that I had more insight to share from my fellow Egyptologists, but they are also mostly trapped on the other side of the paywall! But I'm definitely going to keep it in mind during my eventual binge! I might start reading the books that are coming out - this way I get some Lorca-love while I ...

Re: Trailers, interviews and more.

So the echo of ancient Egypt that I noticed in the first (and only so far) episode that I saw is being discussed amongst the Egyptologists on FB. And an ancient historian has also written about the world view in the series. It's a good article, and I thought that you guys might appreciate it. I'll h...

haha! Either we didn't (it's only an hour) or very carefully. lol. I think we were all too worried that we would miss something important and probably we wouldn't have gotten up unless the building was on fire...

Pooh! The PFF has thwarted my plan! Not only is there no Jason, but there is also no Michael Fassbender film this year! They always have a Fassy film! Dang them! Dang them to Hades! *shakes fist at PFF* :shh

Re: After Trek

Hillary, I hear you. I don't get HBO, but last season of Game of Thrones, my friends and I would watch on one of my friend's HBO-go account, but it had to come through my laptop. Only after everyone was seated (with drinks and snacks), could I do the final hook-up of the HDMI cord from my mac to the...

Re: Trailers, interviews and more.

Apparently, Himself let loose at a NYCC interview. He's definitely one of my heroes! :hug

Jason has boldly gone where no actor has gone before...

Re: After Trek

Thunder, I wish it was on Netflix here in the US. It's not! :rave It's only available through that CBS All-Access channel, for which we have to pay extra $$. :shh I think that I will be waiting until the season finishes (or is close to finishing) and if they have a free trial period, I'll just binge...

Re: Turn

Simcoe was one of my favorite characters because Samuel Roukin was just so brilliant at being bad. But in real life Simcoe did not have a reputation as a sadistic officer. I really appreciated how the writers were able to make everyone shades of grey. There was no absolute black and white (Revolutio...

Star Trek Discovery Reviews

Hi, I thought I would start a new thread for the reviews, if only in an attempt to avoid *spoilers* for folks. I hope that is okay? Here is one of the first I came across tonight after the airing of the show on the East Coast. I suspect it will be the only episode I'll get to see for a while since I...

Re: Jason on Spicey at the Emmys

Sorry! I didn't realize this thread existed. I moved my comment to here. Sorry!! On a slightly different note (because I just watched an interview with him at the Star Trek premiere (?) and they asked him about it), wow, Jason got a lot of buzz around his Emmy tweet. I'm so proud of our guy. I didn'...

Re: Reviews

I guess it's time to start haunting the Philadelphia Film Festival to see if it will show there. I've been pretty lucky over the past few years - Fassbender and Cumberbatch seem to be favorites of the PFF (I'm not complaining!). Maybe Jason will slide into their offerings. (There's only been one mov...

Re: Trailers, interviews and more.

Maybe we'll be able to rent or buy the shows by episode on Amazon or itunes *she says hopefully*

Edit: oops! I didn't see the thread in the other discussion re: his Emmy tweet. I've moved my comment! Sorry!
