Re: Dragon Con 2016
Hi everybody! I went to Dragon*Con!! It was amazing, and thank you thank you to the Lost Girls who met up with me and kept me company all day. Jason is very, very kind, and very very sweet. Loved hearing him talk in person, and it was an honor getting to meet him. (And Marie, Char, and Susan! Oh my ...

Re: Dragon Con 2016
Hi Marie--well, you have made my heart too, too happy! That would be infinitely wonderful, to not be on my own there. I've got a friend who has a vendor booth every year at America's Mart (whatever/wherever that is), but he'll be there doing that and I'd be left to wander the Dragon Con streets alon...

Re: Dragon Con 2016
Aw, well thanks for that, fruitbat. You're sweet to answer. I'm still very "eh, I dunno" about it (maybe THAT'S my answer :D). All my introversions are hyperventilating right now, yet I'd really like to go. (I'm going to see if I can drag a local friend into doing it with--game plan B ;-) .) Dragon*...

Dragon Con 2016
Hello fellow follyers, long time no post. This is your prodigal member Amy. I'm currently trying to decide if I want to go to Dragon Con next month or not. I will confess that, though I've lived in this town since 1998 and am familiar with all the roads, highways, etc I do dread driving into downtow...

Re: A Cure for Wellness (New project)
Wow...WOW! That's pretty much all I'd be able to say while walking up to and through that place. I bet that castle has got some STORIES in it, and maybe some creepy ghosts to boot. It does look like a fairy tale castle! ...is this going to be like a creepy Cinderella horror film? I'd swallow my fear...

Thanks, Marie & servalan...
Geeks rock! And so do kids.
And people who like geeks and kids rock, too. And people who like geeks and kids and Lucius Malfoy!
Really, if you don't fall under at least one of those categories, there's clearly no hope for you.

Re: Meanwhile, back at the ranch....
I found Jason way back in the late 90s in The Patriot, but I didn't know it. I just went to see the movie with my dad, who loved war movies a lot - in fact, my dad would have been all over Field of Lost Shoes and Fury, two movies that made me really wistful for him when I watched them. In the cinema...

Re: Wasn't sure whether to put this here, or in the Harry Po
I once worked for a boss we called "Voldemort" behind her back. While there, I always told people I worked in a very Harry Potter-like world, except Voldemort had won. There were Muggles (us, the regular/downtrodden workers) and she had her very own Death Eaters (because our Voldemort had minions, a...

RE: the politics article. Some people, honestly. (Stuff like this article is why I can't read comments in news blogs on the internet anymore, exactly why.) Also: can I use this opportunity to reiterate, once again, I continue my mourning for this show? It was fantastic. Every single freaking ...

Re: E-mails from Jason
Yes, I like it when he sends these. I was wondering how he'd pull off Australia, Tanzania, AND Germany.
And he's a WRITER! Always so impressed with Jason's great spelling and grammar and writerly sense of voice.

That story made me smile in my heart, Helen! I'm going to think that, too, about the squirrel thanking you.

Woops, I'm sorry, Tosca! I forwarded him a link on Twitter (and confession: I used his starvin' Marvin twitter status as a carrot for him to go look) (I'm totally macabre like that and I'm not even going to apologize). I got excited when I saw it--it's just crazy cool (I think). I also think you're ...

Re: A Cure for Wellness (New project)
I hope when they say "horror" they mean more like "psychologically terrifying." Psychological terror I can deal with; blood and guts no can do, mis amigos. (I would see it for the Jason bits and to support him...but sit with my eyes closed/fingers in ears every time someone got slashed to bits. Ever...
