So I can't nickname my cat "Butt monkey" any more? :( I'd like to add a few that infest the Australian media: slug / slugged "Motorists will be slugged with higher fuel costs." tailor / tailored "The bank will tailor the loan..." (Doubly irritating because as if large corporations give a shit about ...

2 weeks! You could walk it there from Finland faster. I know, but they have something called "handling time" I am not sure about the terminology in english, but I am pretty sure you get the picture. And They can rip me off. And I have been sick lately so I wasn't inspired by the walk... :orangface ...

DEFINITELY worth searching out on DVD.

It's so densely plotted (hard to follow) that I couldn't imagine watching it in one-hour-a-week doses.

I imported the DVD from the UK and watched it in 2 sittings. (It should be widely available now though.)

Re: Steptoe rebroadcast on BBC!

Gillian posted this in the other forum, but to make it more visible for any potential Brit viewers, I'm putting it here too: As part of its holiday line-up, BBC Four will be airing The Curse of Steptoe on Sunday, December 28th at 10:30 pm and again on the 29th at 3:40 in the morning. That's good ne...

No more of Teh R0dney! :(

And to add insult to injury they're going to marry him off to that whiny, cross-eyed bint played by that whiny cross-eyed bint from Firefly. BOO!

Actually, one Canadian series I'd love to check out on DVD is The Beachcombers.

When I was a kid, when that turned up on Oz TV, you KNEW it was summer. (In a good way, not a summer-TV-is-shit way.)

Who knew a bunch of blokes dragging logs around by tugboat could be so entertaining?

Just what the heck is 'po-faced'? Ummmm........stuffy, uptight, humourless, "straight-laced"....that general area. You know, English . :) (Patrick McKenna's luminous teeth and bug eyes are strangely hypnotic...) http://images.zap2it.com/20080221/theredgreenshow_240.jpg No argument there. BTW, that'...

OK.....to keep with the Halloween theme I'm re-animating a dead thread... Before the Australian dollar died in the arse, I got the DVD box set of season 1 of Traders and watched it. Excellent stuff!!! So much so that I'm mighty pissed off that they haven't released seasons 2-5 on DVD. This is a grea...

Oh, well. Happy Halloween, then!
Although the timing of my "reappearance" was unintentional, it is kind of appropriate when you think about it. :)

We did, Funkay. Then she one-upped us by not replying for *two frickin' months.*
Gotta say, it really threw me, but I suspect that was all part of her diabolical plan.
ROFL LMAO

I am SO glad I did my DVD splurge when I did.

The Australian dollar has crashed by 30c against the Greenback since then - from USD$0.98ish to $USD0.67ish.

At least I scored Brotherhood Season 1, which I am currently working my way through...
