Hmmm Dhani, I think buying the DVD is the only way for us to see TSW. Actually, I'd recommend seeing this on DVD, because you can watch it in one or two sittings. It's a very "densely plotted" (that is, often-hard-to-follow) show and I couldn't imagine being able to follow it being "drip fed" one h...

Question for Canadians: Traders vs Capital City

Oi you Mooselovers!

Is 'Traders' basically a Canadian re-hashing of Capital City, or just something in a similar vein?

Is it worth grabbing a copy?

Re: Can I just say I love the Pope

's taste in shoes? Senator Popatine's little red pumps are to die for. And the hats? Divine. Not sure they adequately compensate for what promises to be a week of traffic hell, but still.* You're hainvg a week of traffic hell? Google "World Youth Day" and "Sydney" to see what WE are going to be in ...

The State Within - coming soon to Oz!

I've started seeing ads for TSW on ABC1. woohoo! It looks like they're going to give it a really good promotion, and a good prime-time timeslot (Thursday nights). "A six-part special event coming soon to ABC1" or something like that. (Of course, I've already got the DVD and watched the whole thing i...

Thanks, Gillian. Uh, yeah, he damn sure has broken laws--theft by false promise, I expect. The thing is that, again, the amount DH & buds are out doesn't really support the expense of a lawyer, and working through the small claims court, in part because plaintiffs pay so little, entitles you to ver...

My favourite April Fools' joke was the "gay Mass" one. A veteran radio journalist here in Sydney announced that the Catholic Church had released a statement sayng that they were requesting Sydney's gay & lesbian community nominate 200 gay Catholics to meet the Pope when he comes here for "World Yout...

Sometimes I have to comfort myself at its absence by reminding myself of the thoroughly disgusting 'Breakfast Smoothie' I purchased there--it was a breakfast smoothie by virtue of the fact that it contained not only raspberries, not only yoghurt, but also gruel. It was a bottle of fruity yoghurt an...

I'm currently snacking on some Wasabi and Nori coated Peanuts, washed down with a nice "classic white" (bloody Frogs won't let Australian wine producers use the work "Burgundy" any more Coqsuckers.).

When you bite wasabi-coated peanuts, the buggers bite you right back. :0

Yeah. It's currently filming with...oh the horror!...Christopher Eccleston as the bad guy. I keep telling myself his American agents twisted his arm for him to make them some money...

Ebay Seller virgin!

Hiyas

I want to flog a whole lot of excess crap on ebay (clothes, moofie magazines, etc).

I've got the *buying* part down :P

Now I'd love some tips on *selling*.

Some step-by-step n00bie handholding would be MUCH appreciated, as well as tips and tricks and warnings and stuff.

TIA

The Fix!!!! I wish that would come out on DVD.

I have it on VHS.....somewhere.....and it's a really good moofie.

Coogan is fantastic in it as a sleazy showbiz tabliod reporter (before there were such things).

Re: My dad's pretty cool . . .

A couple of years ago, I think, my dad was asked to participate in one of those mass-decoration events, like Chicago's cows or D.C.'s pandas? He lives in the northern midwest, and the icon the artists were asked to customize was a bison. Here's his response: http://www.herdabouttheprairie.org/artis...
