Re: DVD release

The events themselves are for the most part not funny, although some are absurd. It's the reactions of everyone involved that produce the comedy - party officials jockeying for position whilst simultaneously not wanting anyone else to know, and everyone claiming to be the most loyal to Stalin while ...

Re: Model Lucius

That is realistic. It even looks like Jason. :adore

It's difficult to tell how tall he is from the photo.

Re: New trailer

I think any avatar problems are due to Photobucket being erratic. My link to my photo of model Lucius on another thread also disappeared momentarily. Now everything seems to be back again. No it isn't - yes it is - no it isn't -yet it is... If Jason was at a BAFTA party, he could well have been in t...

Re: New trailer

I didn't seen Jason on the TV giving any of the BAFTA awards. If he was in the audience, I didn't notice him. I fast forwarded through the red carpet stuff, but I didn't spot our man. Therefore I conclude he wasn't there - or if he was, he was hiding. ;-)

Re: New trailer

I didn't seem to be able to watch that, but if it's the clip I think it is, they also showed the F-bomb scene during the BAFTAs last night, during a collation of clips from many films released over the past year.

The Death of Stalin was nominated in the British film category, but didn't win.

Re: Star Trek Discovery discussion (Spoilers)

I have to agree that putting your enemy in charge of your ship is a very strange move indeed. And it's not even as if she's being remotely controlled or they have some threat hanging over her. :tchuh: The only reason not to notice she has become ruthless is that Lorca was ruthless too (although at t...

Re: Star Trek Discovery discussion (Spoilers)

Thanks for the link.

Yes, Big Hint there! Maybe we will see another version of Lorca eventually.

Re: Star Trek Discovery discussion (Spoilers)

That link didn't work, Helen. :-(

(They mentioned the star thing on After Trek too - I remarked on it in the After Trek thread.)

Re: After Trek

Yay, Jason was on After Trek this week talking about Lorca's death via Skype. :D He also commented on Lorca shagging every female in sight! :lol After Jason had gone, an audience member asked about the (they called it a spore) star thing that landed on Tilly. We have to wait for the next season to f...

Re: #BringBackLorca campaign

I think it's likely he will reappear even if it's as the occasional cameo.

Denise Crosby reappeared now and again in Star Trek TNG after she was killed off as Lt. Yar at the end of series 1. She was Yah's half Romulan daughter from an alternative timeline.

Re: Star Trek Discovery discussion (Spoilers)

Nice interview. I love the way Jason is always ready to praise his fellow actors whenever he feels they deserve it. I think Michelle Yeoh is great too.

(We know Jason thinks some actors are a waste of space, but wisely he never says who!)

Re: Star Trek Discovery discussion (Spoilers)

Jason says this version of Lorca is dead. :-(

But

He fell into the mycelial network (or whatever that thing is called). People seem to live in another way in there.

Plus didn't you all see that little star thing that seemed to enter Tilly? Perhaps that's some form of Lorca?

Re: Russia tries to ban this movie

I like the Jason/General Zhukov "You'll laugh. Or else." poster in that Rotten Tomatoes link.
