All the comments at the bottom of the Telegraph article are whole-heartedly in support of Jason. It's the Telegraph they are attacking. Nobody is implying Jason has said anything wrong at all - quite the opposite.

Hmm ... Like the comments below the article say, that's a misleading headline. Jason's words have been misrepresented in that headline. If I were him, I would not be best pleased with the Telegraph right now.

He looked mighty fine in it, but, to be honest, that script was pretty shocking. Lines like 'I'm a doctor, not a spin doctor' and 'Never - ever - mess with the money!' aren't exactly Emmy-winning, to say the least. I think it's a blessing in disguise that it wasn't picked up. Definitely worth it. Come to think of it, this was the role that made me sit up and notice Mr I properly for the first time. Mark Brydon ranks up there for me amongst his favourite characters.
