Heather, here in the US, it's called Veterans Day...unfortunately, we do not wear poppies...I'm told years ago it was indeed called Armistice Day.... we have parades and pay tribute to vets past, present and deceased.. It's a National Holiday, so the post office and banks are closed...Some folks do...
