Re: Linked actors
And you left out Tom Felton, Mark Williams, and Jim Broadbent in "The Borrowers." And much more important (because it's such a great movie), Gary Oldman and Julie Walters in "Prick Up Your Ears." Or Timothy Spall and Michael Gambon in "The King's Speech." And (though I haven't seen this one) Maggie ...

Re: New Maximum Movie Mode video(s)
What? Me? Furious? No, I'm thinking of tomorrow's turkey. :D (just kidding to lighten our mood!!) I'm a Beth, too. There seems to be a glut of Beths here...or would that be a murder of Beths? A herd? Anywhoo... I have to admit that I also often wondered if JRK was playing "the game" of telling the ...

Definitely, my post was vehement. I even said I "vehemently" disagree. LOL All part of discussion, isn't it? Sure, I could've said, "Like, maybe okay I kinda sorta think that is it possible that" etc., etc., etc., which would definitely have been less vehement. Though not sure why that's be preferab...

Re: New Maximum Movie Mode video(s)
If you read/watch her interviews through the decade she spent writing the books, you'll often hear her call Snape "nasty" or "horrid" or "horrible." And that's absolutely how she wrote him. And that's exactly how I said she wrote him. Quoting myself: "[Snape as written] throughout the books is, yes,...

I still cried when they show Severus' death and memories. I get the feeling I'm gonna bawl every single time I watch. ~ML   I'm with you there. {sighs and frowns} I know JK didn't like Severus' character at all. So, we are lucky that she "redeemed" him in the end ... but still . .. h...

And Star Trek novels. And the post-Frank Herbert "Dune" books.

Angel, what is that symbol in the corner of your avatar, and what does it mean, and why is it there? Just wondering.

Re: Fan fiction
Fanfic is like anything else; it ranges from the ridiculous to the sublime. The existence of "The Human Centipede" (read: utterly ridiculous garbage) doesn't change the fact that "The Godfather" is a masterpiece. For what it's worth, when I first found fanfic it was really a fun (and clean) exercise...

Don't yell at me, but I think he looks exhausted. He's hit rather an intense new level of fame (only going to get more intense as "Awake" hits the air) and it's not easy. He looks like he needs a bit of sleep. And a vacation. And some peace and quiet. Or maybe it's just me that needs all that and I'...

Re: Give positive feedback to BBC
I would, but since I just two minutes ago sent the BBC a very nasty email regarding their coverage (or more accurately the lack thereof) of a particular current event, it's entirely possible my opinion on their TV schedule wouldn't be appreciated. LOL

Great pictures, Helen..thanks for sharing. Here's the group pic-we all looked ecstatic, didn't we? I'm not sure why, but I suddenly feel hugely better about hanging around this place. Maybe it's because ... y'all are the same age as me. :woot :yip (Not sure why I've assumed I was an odd-one-out old...

A lovely message from our mate Mr. Keith.. I confirmed with him that yes after his flying visit to Comic Con, he's off to Israel to see Mum and Dad (he said to me - "you know it all already" and I told him you guys had briefed me). Good thing he's visiting his folks, then. It won't rain here for se...
