Re: Please introduce yourself here!!
Hi Fruitbat & Thunder
LOVE. It. The flying head is really spectacular- but then I suspect that I am closet Loyalist.
The movie would have been so much better if William had simply learned from generations of villians before him, and simply killed the annoying..err.. patriot in one quiet, fatal thrust, rather than having to have the last say and a big ol' fancy sword move. Hubris always gets them at the end... Ahh... William, William... silly man- had you learned nothing from defeated villians who have gone before? Sigh...

And another belated welcome from me, Lady Sekhmet.
Looking forward to your input on matters historical (hysterical?) in future.

welcome to all newbies
Ah, I am LN ( but if you say the letters really quickly and repeatedly it comes out Ellen..very clever-eh?), sad really, it took several nurses I work with a LOONG time to figure that out, a bit scary when you think we're nurses and have people's lives in our hands. I guess since I made it up I must be a very good nurse and very clever to boot! As for computers and avitars, I'm totally hopeless and helpless, I can start central lines, PICC lines, regular ol' IV lines, draw blood, do wound care and do hospice care and alzheimers work, but COMPUTERS is just too confusing- give me someone confused over something confusing anyday of the week. Singing and dancing with residents in a nursing home I'm happy to do, can't do a damn thing with a computer except MAYBE on a good day (b/c I excelled in typing on manual typewriters when dinosours roamed the earth-my children believed this for many years...) navigating sites like this lovely one, and shopping and emails, that's about it. The Jewish holidays are up and coming (for the next month) my husband is an orthodox rabbi (making me a rebbetzin), so holidays are big meal days, and exhausting ones, so I get to sneak onto the site when hubby dearest is fast asleep when his head hits the pillow, I guess I won't be back for a while, meantime, I'll peruse...Happy and Healthy Holidays to all, ellen

Welcome, Ellen, glad to hear from you. You're a caregiver, not a computer wizard; many of us have the same problem. Hope you are back soon! Enjoy the site.

Welcome, Ellen.
I proudly count myself among the techno-lames of the world, so you're not alone. Besides, in line of work, you contribute more to mankind than being able to create an avatar. To my embarrassment, mine was created and posted by our wonderful Admin, Hilary.
Peruse and post when you can.

Re: Please introduce yourself here!!
Hi :)
sooo I had to watch the Patriot in my American History class and I fell in love with Jason Isaacs well that makes it sound instantanious...honestly I saw him and was like "omggg he's amazing!!...but I can't like him, he's the bad guy. I'm supposed to hate him." After lying to myself for about half the movie until I saw him shaving I was like "screw this, I love this man" lol if only he wasn't so old... :( sad day haha

Welcome horse_lover. Glad to have you with us.
Jason appeals to people of all ages. So don't feel left out.
He's timeless.

welcome, horse_lover.
The shaving-in-the-stream scene has won over many a heart. And as grannybear said, Jason is timeless.
