I'm sorry, that's just sad.

Our standards have become way too high!

If you're going to ask top dollar than your product better reflect that -- well constructed clothes, quality materials, attention to detail -- which I'm not seeing here. On top of that face has rather a square jaw, to the point that it's distracting. And the hair kinda looks like it's just been slapped on too.

Now I'm not trying to be mean, but I DO believe in constructive criticism. Unfortunately this doll does not justify the $185 opening bid.

But hey, good luck to 'em.

You guys are too much!
I thought he was pretty well done, for an anime-lookin' kind of dude...I like the idea that he has articulated fingers. Still, the description mentions the snake-headed cane--where it at??
And $185?? That's over $30 per inch!!
Okay I'm gonna stop right there before I get myself in trouble

Who's life, like, is it anyway?

And . . . am I the only one who is freightened by Miss Hil's new picture?
I'd almost take the screaming baby over this one.

eep!
Sorry, Helen--my other one was hosted by the old domain name, and when that expired, my piccie went with it. I went to reload it to the new space, but couldn't find it on my computer, so I made a new one.
They are both antique depictions of Mr. Punch, the mad, non-sequiturious and not particularly useful anti-hero puppet of "...and Judy" fame.

the mad,

All definitions of the word . . .

Having had an older brother who thought little sisters should be punched . . . and often, I harbor an aversion to that particular puppet. Might I suggest an alternative, say, Mr. Hyde? I believe that is still in your milieu. ;-)

Hm. I had a younger brother who harboured the same belief, particularly after watching televised professional wrestling.

Would anybody be happier with a pic of Judy, previously known as Joan??

Aw thanks, Penny, but the previous incarnation of the avatar I'd used on THIS board was also a pic of Punch.
I, too, have Squalling Baby on my hard-drive--including the one I think you'd posted of the baby food label.
(ick!)

Never liked Punch, even as a kid. There's just something inately creepy about him. And the voice ... Christ, it's like nails on a chalkboard. Even now just looking at him makes my hair stand on end. He's the poster boy for evil clowns, IMHO.
