One more addiction to add to the rest. Loved it. And the one with the cat locked behind the glass door. I'm at work. I better stop. Don't want to piss off my boss. Thanks, Kim.

My eldest cat Two-Speed has the amazing capacity to chew and rip the most important papers (and postage stamps) just incredible. I've sent payments on a number of bills that were severly chewed and had obvious teeth marks in them (guess they got their payment so they don't care!) He has also mangled checks but thank goodness the bank tellers just laugh and cash them anyway. I often think that Two-Speed was Simon in another kitty life!

I hear you, Marie. At my house, anything that's on a desk or table, ends up on the floor. Anything that's supposed to be on the floor is never in the same place twice. Allie lines her "woobies" (toys) in the hallway, so when we wake up in the night to head to the bathroom, in the dark, we step/trip on them. I imagine her lifting her head up on the bed putting a paw in front of her mouth and laughing to herself.

Gotta love 'em.

Helen, that's why I have night lights everywhere-otherwise I'd step on a toy, a tail, or, worse, a hairball.

Oh! How I miss my animals. My alpha cat Squirt kept the other cat Bitsy and the dog Stacey in line. One glance from Squirt would send Stacey into hiding. It was comical.
My daughter named the animals. At at one time we also had a Katy Kat and a Petunia. Now she has a Hannah, Chloe and Miss Fatty. So when I feel the need for feline company I go to her house and enjoy.

Thanks for the link - another multiple cat owner here to enjoy the festivities.

Note to Helen: "woobies" at our house are warm fleece blankets! We first heard the word years ago when watching Michael Keeton in "Mr. Mom" - in the film his son's security blanket was called a woobie!

Cheers to all,
Bonnie Kate, again

And, Kate, that's exactly why we named all her toys Woobies because it reminded us of that very movie, when his toddler carried the decrepit thing around with him everywhere. Allie walks around with her woobies in her mouth before bedtime and places them strategically around the house. We have no idea where that behavior came from. Remember, she was found abandoned on the American side of the border with Mexico . . . in August. Those days alone may have scarred her for life. Who knows what it means. Anyway she's well loved and cared for now. :hug :hug

Helen - I'm not sure but I think it is just a natural behavior in some cats. Two of my seven do that regularly now (they also meow while holding their toy and it coumes out sounding pretty wierd!!) We have a basket with the toys (seven cats = lots of toys) a lot of nights I will collect them all and put them in the basket only to wake up and find the toys all over the living room the next morning!!

Kate (again!) - their favorite toy is the one you got them with the stick and three leather cords with feathers on the end. Wow do they love that toy. I'll start playing with it with one kitty and before I know it I'm surrounded by cats all wanting to play with it. I'm so surprised it has held up so well against my big Maine Coon Nimitz - he is one tough guy - his paws are so big that once he swats a toy down you can't budge it!!!!

Nimitz and Sushi both get some grooming this week. Nimitz will likely get his belly shaved and Sushi may get a lion cut (she has the thickest coat I've ever seen on a cat and it really mats!!) She likes to be combed but not on her belly - so of course thats where all the mats start!)

This is our woobie-lovin' Allie. In the first pic, she's wearing a floral Easter bonnet; in the second, Allie's on her throne pillow.

Sorry they're so large.
