Sorry. Some of us are still stinging from Diana's untimely death and crap treatment she received from Charles and Cashrilla.

There are a lot of people in this country who feel exactly the same way as you Helen that's why I can't ever see a day when she will be queen, she will always be The Duchess Of Cornwall even if Charles does become king. Can't ever imagine anyone calling Camilla, Your Majesty.

Can you remember where you were when Diana died? I was in bed. My radio alarm went off and I was wondering for five minutes why the rock station it was tuned into was playing Acker Bilk until the song finished and they made the announcement, just for a second I thought it must be The Queen Mother. What a shock!

We have no way of knowing, but perhaps when she was divorced, Diana set her ring aside with the understanding that one of her sons could use it for his fiance when the time came. Perhaps William is following his mother's wishes in tribute to her.

If I remember rightly [and I am sure there will be photographs] Diana often wore the ring even after she divorced Prince Charles

that's why I can't ever see a day when she will be queen,

Wasn't that a stipulation that she could never be queen--only consort--because of the large faction of people against her?

I didn't realize that Diana continued to wear the ring; thanks for the info, Heather. :D

I found it a bit creepy, too, about Dianna's ring, but when I heard William felt that a part of his mother was with him I thought it was wonderful. Also, I hope Kate doesn't have the Emmanuels make her dress! What a crumpled mess it was!

I was at work when my boss told me. I was stunned! It's still shocking today!
