Thanks for the good wishes, m'dears. It's been a good'n so far. I managed to get four cakes. It was a bit like a pub crawl except with cake not alcohol - a cake crawl. I realised early on that I prefer the pub version. Luckily, the cakes were mostly consumed by other people. I started to feel like Dawn French in The Vicar of Dibley and her epic Christmas dinner crawl.

LS, I started to write something missing out all the vowels, but I stopped because a) it made no sense whatsobloodyever and b) it reminded me of this programme called 'Only Connect' which is hosted by a woman called Victoria Coren who irritates the hell out of me despite being married to the sweet and lovely David Mitchell. Ah, we seem to be channeling the same sort of birthday activities, so I totally hear you on the Vicar of Dibley thing! lol. Glad you survived the 4 cakes. (Remind me to tell you about the Year of the 9.5 lb Christmas Eve Italian Dinner.) The key is to always wear stretchy clothing on days where cake looms large, my dear!
