Re: Jason tweets!
Someone want to remind me of the naval officer he played for "serious"? Can't for the life of me remember which role that is.

Not completely sure, but I think I have seen full version of the "naval" picture before, and that it's from a deleted Patriot scene.....

Re: Jason tweets!
Jason just tweeted about a new project he's in: Lithgow Saint, a short film by Jack Eve, with Alice Eve. Seems to be made by a company called Eve & Eve & Eve or Xploseve. The 3rd Eve being Trevor Eve, one of my favorite actors. Hmmm! Sounds promising! Actually, sounds Sccotish, which is great

I'm with you on that Scottish accent, Tosca. Men with dialectal brogues of the Scottish variety...oh my.

Re: Jason tweets!
I think that the 18th c Navy one is a manip a la Master & Commander/Hornblower (not from a Patriot scene as that is a Brit Navy uniform not an army) - I've seen the larger photo around tumblr and it's always struck me as someone's wishful thinking, this would be why none of us have seen the movie/show. I could be wrong, and will take my beating with a wet noodle stoically and gracefully, but...

I don't even remember where I saw the pic anymore, maybe I dreamt it.
I want to see the rest of that short. Hope they post it somewhere sometime. Thanks, Tosca.

Well, now I'm curious.About to film the most repulsive thing I've ever done. Forgive me. If my kids read this...don't watch till I'm dead. With a therapist.

Popping in a bit late to offer this candidate for the source of the body (!) in "Serious":
(Ioan Gruffudd as "Horatio Hornblower.")

Thank you, Hilary. Once gain, your keen eye comes through . . . well, not literally.
Maybe, one day, he'll play a naval officer just for us!

Not really...?
...although, I wouldn't mind.

I agree with everything the writer says about JI, but . . . no thanks.
Jason Issacs’ recent turns as Detective Jackson Brodie is a good place to look for my inspiration in this choice. He is very fit and therefore looks the part of a superhero. He also has a real talent for looking very stressed as wind blows in his face (an important aspect of any super-heroic actor); he has the skills to deliver a deep, nuanced performance that would be an asset to the film.
