Was catching up with Mark Kermode and Simon Mayo's movie discussions, and they talked about how some actors, when they're attached to a project, commit to the end and make extraordinary efforts to support and promote it. Unsurprisingly, they declared that JI is kind of the king of this phenomenon. The benefit to us is additional opportunities to see/hear JI; the drawback is that he is so convincing, you can get suckered into some absolute dreck because he made it sound so compelling.
Just in case you'd fallen out of touch with Kermode & Mayo too: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0011spr

Jason always gets good vibes on this show. Have you read Kermodes biography. He mentions Jason in it.
