I am so sorry to read of the passing of Michael Gambon. I remember him bursting onto the public conciousness through his acting in The Singing Detective in the 1980's and he was always a real prescence on screen. He was so wonderful in the Harry Potter series and he appeared in the 2010 DR Who Christmas special and was wonderful in that too. A very sad loss.

It's nice to hear Jason's tribute. He has always been so complimentary about his fellow HP actors.

Michael Gambon was so versatile, I've seen him play so many parts on TV and in movies.

Really sorry to here about Sir Michael's passing. As much as I missed Richard Harris playing Dumbledore, it didn't take more than 5 minutes for me to accept the new version. He was a very playful Dumbledore. He gave him new dimensions.

I am also saddened at how many of the cast have already passed.
