I have the Comcast that includes the internet and phone, and
the digital cable box I pay for every month is $15...
It's very expensive....

Showtime for only $4.95 per month? WOW! I pay $11.95. Of course I get about 10 Showtime channels of which I only watch 2.

I only got it to watch Brotherhood but now I watch Dexter, Tudors and Weeds so I guess I'l keep it.

Hmmmmm, perhaps it's $4.95 for EACH channel?? There's quite a few of each of these channels...

But now I'm really mad, my sister's box is still playing those channels flawlessly, so WTF is up with that shite?!?

cable usually has package deals, but the prices are very high...
I watch the Tudors, and of course BH, but mostly movies on
SHO....HBO I don't watch at all, but until the package special
ends, it's available...

I get Sho,HBO,ENC, and this past weekend they had a STRZ freeview on ENC.
Yet, it seems they do replay the same damn movies on a daily basis.....
I pay for a daily rerun? WHATEVER! ~marilaine

At least you get some free channels from time to time. I have Bright House (no choice) and we get nothing free. Never-ever.

True.....some movies that you may have missed, will play again on another channel from the same cable carrier/company (HBO, SHO...), so you do get more than one chance, but.....I'm already tired of 'Akeelah/Bee', 'Dirty Dancing', 'Pink Panther'......ugh!

Has anyone noticed that Jason has worked with each of the 'MATRIX' stars in at least one movie:
Carrie-Ann Moss - Chumscrubber
Keanu Reeves - Sweet November
Laurence Fishburne (sp?) - Event Horizon
Cool  , huh? ~ml  :D

My sister and I agree, after watching Jason as a priest in 'The End of the Affair', makes us wish he was at our parish....."Bless me Father, for I have sinned."
I wonder if Blockbuster has 'The last Don II' for rent. (Fingers crossed) ~marilaine

It's alright (I guess) if you're idea of a turn-on is watching Jason Isaacs shag Kirstie Alley.

The actual story itself is somewhat mediocre. I found myself fast fowarding through most of the non JI stuff.

My advice -- rent it, don't buy it.

I watched this movie once, then as Gillian says, I fast forward
thru the non Jason scenes...personall, KA makes me nauseaus,
sorry, no disrespect for her, but this was not one of her best
roles...seemed like she wasn't into the role, either...

Of course, Mr Jason gives a drop dead performance
(no pun intended)....LOL

I bought this movie, to complete my collection of JI roles...

(Anyways....finally gonna see "the End of the Affair" tomorrow, it's going to be shown on cable tv)

That's the impression I got too -- like she would've been just as happy to have phoned it in.

Okay, I saw it yesterday. *smiles*

Personally I think it's good, I like the plot, although it's not my type of film. Better than I expected it to be, but I wouldn't watch it again, I wouldn't buy the DVD. LOL!

Unfortunately, Jason's character doesn't have much screen time, but he gives a good performance (as always, he's simply wonderful). And I loved his role as a priest, how versatile he is.
