"Good" Movie Poster

Post by Gillian » Sat Jun 16, 2007 10:30 am

Found this at Odd Lot Entertainment. Looks to be a "one sheet", which I imagine, probably made the rounds when Odd Lot were courting distributors at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

You wanna have a real aneurysm?
It's even misspelt on the poster.

Think I'll fire off an email ...

I did espy that on the poster, Gillian--with a lot of diligent squinting (followed by the previously expressed swearage).

And I did send an e-mail.

They're so busy trying to get Viggo's spelling right ("is that one or two g's? is it one or two s's?") that they didn't have time for poor Jason.

Having his name misspelled is awful enough but I also feel the roles should have been reversed... our dear JASON ISAACS is by far the better actor, but that is, of course, in my opinion!!

Hugs,
Kate

The good news is...

the good news is, he's the most prominent one on the poster! That makes the spelling mistake somewhat less offensive in my eyes.

BTW, hi everyone! :D

Oh happy days! Jason's in it!

Thanks for the link, Kim. You're fast becoming quite the little newshound. :D

BTW, the new poster's quite the departure, isn't it? I suppose that's to illlustrate Halder's somewhat naive impression of things, although the casual viewer may not get it if they're unfamiliar with the play.

Needless to say I like the new poster much better. I've got to get a copy -I have all of the posters from Jason's movies where his picture is on the poster!!

Thanks for the lovely link!

HUZZAH for the copy editor at Odd Lot!

Not decided about the overall image . . . I think the oblivious little lederhosen-clad kid happily building castles in the sand is really apt, but then the montage above makes it look like everybody really is at the beach . . . I dunno, just kinda odd.
