A long time ago, in Google Books or something like that, I read the first couple of pages...and it looked interesting! Very interesting!
But yeah, the title doesn't give much away...but isn't that better?

More reviews articles are popping up.

It was also nice to see Jason Isaacs as a character other than the villain. Isaacs is a fantastic actor that plays the part of the bad guy so well it seemed to become his calling, but here he proves he has more than just one side to him, something many of us know, but it is nice to be reminded every now and again.

Grade C?

The performances were all very good to great.
"Good . . . is a well-made film"
"I find little fault in the work Amorim put in as a director . . ."

His comments belie his grade.

Very nice review and very honest quotes by both Jason and Viggo.

The real hero of the film’s production, however, must be Jason Isaacs, the consummate role player, as Jewish best friend Maurice. He is stern and funny and weak and honest, all within a few moments, and he absolutely steals the show. His locked jaw and steely eyes are staples of a character so mortified by his surroundings, yet unable to escape his love of country (and his own pride) until it is much too late.

OMG That's great! I loved the "locked jaw" part...cuz he does have one, and me loves it so much!

USAToday not crazy about it . . . but the fact that McPaper is writing about it is very heartening to me.

http://www.usatoday.com/life/movies/rev ... good_N.htm

" . . . Halder is supposedly a good man, but he seems compromised early on. He abandons his wife and children to live with an attractive student (Jodie Whittaker) and resists the entreaties of Maurice to escape Germany. Mortensen has an appealing subtlety and gravitas in the role, but it's hard for him to be convincing with the part's limitations."

Guess there weren't enough explosions and shit.

And while I'm here, might as well post a link to Kim's AICN interview for people who MIGHT NOT OTHERWISE SEE IT. *cough*
Plenty of "Good" related stuff there too.

But, but, but . . .

Isaacs’s performance is the strongest in the movie,

Faint praise, but praise nevertheless.
