I wasn't sure what to expect from Mr Viggo, but he is a really sincere
man...he signed everything that was handed to him, and even signed
for folks waiting outside in the cold (if you didn't have tickets to see the movie, you were NOT allowed inside for the Red Carpet)...He stopped and
helped a fan, inside on the Red Carpet, when she was having camera
trouble...I think both he and Jason have alot in common, personally...
Probably why they became friends....
He's very generous with fans. At the Toronto Film Fest, he asked security to remove the barricades so he could rush across the street to sign autographs, even though it was pissing rain.I wasn't sure what to expect from Mr Viggo, but he is a really sincere
man...he signed everything that was handed to him, and even signed

I still have this mental image of handlers scurrying after Viggo while a crowd of gobsmacked fans looked on.

Awww ... I thought the story about the little boy in Russia was so cute!
Must be tough for them. On the one hand doing films like LOTR and Harry Potter *does* carry the risk of typecasting, but on the other it also raises the likelihood of being cast in films they might not have otherwise got.
Bit of a double-edged sword to be sure.
