The suit looks a tad wrinkled, but I don't think it's seersucker, which is supposed to look "relaxed." His character is a bachelor, so pressing his suit is probably not high on his list of chores.

Yeah found it in the dictionary. I guess it's a wrong translation then. I apologize but English isn't my first language. It's German so forgive me if I sometimes make small mistakes. But I'm trying to improve.

I just meant his suit looks messy which I never recognized watching the movie. Maybe I was a little bit distracted gazing at his eyes :D

absolutely no worries Lisab...."Braces" in the UK, means suspenders...
I thought that was what you meant. Helen cleared it up for me, that his
suit looked a bit wrinkled...

That's what I thought, too, Kim--that Lisabella had a thing for gents in suspenders! (and Lisabella, if you say that in the UK, people think you're talking about the garters ladies use to hold up sexy stockings, so then you get even weirder looks . . . )
I confess I haven't watched my copy yet--it only arrived last night!!!--but the suit looks to me like linen, which looooves to wrinkle.
I'm gonna speculate that the appearance of his suit may have been a deliberate contrast to the more controlled, "buttoned-down" Halder: JI has described Maurice as a lover of life, someone less restrained.

No worries, Lisabella. I'm not a native speaker either, my English is awful but I try to do my best.
