Photos purloined from Char

A fencing Jason Isaacs--in tights, no less!! Sorry--a historical drama concerning machinations and maneuverings in the court of Spain's Philip II, erstwhile husband to England's Queen Mary Tudor and dispatcher of the ill-fated Armada. Velvet and ruffed collars. Unfortunately, it appeared only sporadically in theatres, and is tough to find even on DVD.

Photos purloined from Char

Post by Hilary the Touched » Sun Nov 18, 2007 10:35 am

I am taking the liberty of dragging these over from the FZ, where Char posted them earlier:

Some lovely details in these costumes. Char was cracking up over shot #1, Julia and JI snogging the director; she found the contrast between JI's elaborate period costume and his tatty backpack amusing.
I didn't even notice his backpack! but was laughing to see that in the hand holding his velvet copatain hat
is also his cellphone.

I didn't notice his cellphone before you mentioned it, Hilary. Good spotting.

A few more:

Snazzy eyepatch.

Who's giving the Director the bunny ears? Julia?

Isn't the eyepatch intriguing??
I can't wait to find out the backstory!

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G pictures! And Jason always looks nice in historical costumes. Personally, I love to see him in epic movies.

Isn't the eyepatch intriguing??
It bears an uncanny resemblance to the one worn by the character Lily, in Pushing Daisies.
What has that to do with anything? Nothing really, except that's all I think of when I look at that picture.

That pearl would really bug me. It would feel like a bug or something against the skin.

It is however the purdiest eye patch I've ever seen! :D

You'd think you'd want to divert attention from the patch, not draw more to it. Why stop at a dangling pearl? Add a long tassle and through it over your shoulder for flair.

"does your eyepatch hang low,
does it wobble to and fro?
Can you tie it in a knot?
Can you tie it in a bow . . ."
