I have recorded the programme (thank goodness it was repeated at 1am or something) and know a few ladies here wanted copies! If you could pm me your address I shall send them out asap to you.
I don't know if these will only play on multi-reg players though if recorded over in the UK though..?
Have watched 3/4 of the show and Jason is amazing in it!

Is your recorder Region FREE???
If not, then the DVD will only work in the UK..
Unless, here in the US, you have a Region Free Player...
It's the old Region 1 - Region 2 problem...

Here is a link to free downloadable software which will allow you to play DVDs from more than one region ON YOUR COMPUTER (not your television--that has a different display arrangement, and even if the region were correct, stuff intended to be viewed on UK TVs would still look weird [did I get that right, Gillian??]):

Rose, that is incredibly kind of you--I'd love one.
What can I possibly offer in return???

I do not want to upset our friends living outside the UK any further. But I watched our boy in Steptoe and Son last night and have to say it was one of the best pieces of acting I have witnessed in a long long time. Jason quite simply nailed it! I was bought up watching Steptoe and Son as it was indeed a bit of an institution in this country. I was filled with dread when I heard Jason Isaacs had taken on the role as Harold because I wondered how he would manage to pull it off. But I needn't have worried, because he did it absolutely perfectly. I actually applauded him at the end! He really has got a unique talent! And being utterly gorgeous just adds the icing on to the cake!!!

Redruth, thanks for chiming in. We US fans are dying to see it.
Hopefully Jason will be recognized this year for some British awards.
They totally snubbed him in The State Within and he got a Gloden Globe nomination!!
