The Curse of Steptoe on UKTV (Australia) tonight (28th Dec)

I don't usually inanely scroll through Foxtel programming but last night I was pleasantly astonished to see that The Curse of Steptoe will be aired on Australian pay TV. :D

It's scheduled to air at 6:30pm for those living in Western Australia and 8:30pm for those in the Eastern States (obviously, it will be repeated on UKTV2).

I actually saw it earlier this year (it was procured via nefarious means) and thoroughly enjoyed it but it was great to watch it legally last night.

And I was again disturbed by how well Jason can carry off mutton-chops.

I do love a modern depiction of the 60s and 70s with all of the cringeworthy blatant sexism, racism and homophobia - I'm currently making my DH sit through the Mad Men and Life on Mars on his holiday break.

The Curse of Steptoe will be reaired on UKTV Australia later in January. :D

I suspect that's because it's always more enjoyable when you know others are enjoying it along with you. It's the collective experience -- makes it more gratifying.

That, and no fear that the authorities may be monitoring you.

D'oh! For some reason I missed the original "heads up" post, but I was lucky to catch it by accident on UKTV...
