"A disturbing study of self hatred and self delusion. It had total confidence in its tone, great production values and a good sense of time and place, all achieved on a limited budget.
With a great script and two fantastic central performances"

Congrats to Mr Jason!!!

Wonderful - after all the abuse the show has taken - this is very nice to see that the performances were noticed and appreciated (along with the other production values!)

:D Thanks so much to everyone for posting this great news! This is a really great piece of work for Mr. Isaacs, and certainly great news, after the way he has been treated here in US for his great perfomances. Three cheers for STEPTOE and Jason Isaacs!

Regardless of the controversy, it still had great production values and outstanding performances.
Congratulations to all involved!

yes, much controversy over this production, but I'm glad it won...
not having seen the original series, the controversy is lost on me, but
I still appreciate the quality of this production...

Feeling slightly guilty as a Harry H Corbett fan but delighted as a Jason one! LOL.
