Didn't they stop because of the weather? They are filming the rest now, I think. I saw some tweets the other day, that someone had seen them filming. Thanks Kj. :D

That article also gives us a title (I thought it would cover more than just the first book?) and length: six parts. :woot
Thanks, Kim!

I live in South Queensferry-the whole town was closed off for filming this week, resulting in some slightly unhappy residents so I hope the film is worth it!At least the location will be spectacular-it's a beautiful place.

Welcome to the Lost Girls, hecate. Did you pick up the Queensferry Gazette, on sale Friday, January 14 ?
If you got one, will you be kind enough to scan the article to share with us?

You should try to go by the filming location and say hi to Jason

IMDB seemed to indicate it was done filming. I guess they were wrong.

Just shows that you can't always rely on IMDB! :uhoh

Glad to have someone from South Queensferry on the group. Welcome hecate.

I believed that filming would recommence once they resumed after the Christmas break (and the weather improved, hopefully).

I know that Jason stated he was going to have to jump in and rescue someone from the water as part of filming, so looks like that must have been what was filmed last week.

South Queensferry is a lovely little village on the south bank of the Forth. Here's a pic I took down the main road when I was there in November last year.

Image

There was a pretty cold wind coming off the water in November. I can only imagine it must have had a sub-zero factor at this time of the year.

One can't go to South Queensferry without viewing the magnificent Forth bridges as well.

It's a very old town with a lot of interesting history, as I'm sure hecate well knows. :D

Hooroo,
Carole

Brrrrrrrrrrr. I don't envy him (or the actress playing the dead girl) jumping into subzero water in January. Couldn't they just film him finding the body on the rocks and then shoot the underwater scenes in a studio pool?

I like your thinking, Helen! Even without being submerged, just hanging around on the rocks while they adjust the camera and reflectors and whatever all else would be *bitching* cold!!
Thanks for sharing those very evocative photos with us, Carole!
