I'm driving around Los Angeles, and everywhere I go, I see huge billboards with the Awake advertisement! They're bombarding us with lovely Jason! I needed to get something in Burbank and the NBC studios had a huge advert on the side of one of their buildings! Not bad Jason....we're noticing you here in LA!

Edit: it was long and good. He doesn't give away a lot about the plot, but he talks a lot about making the series.

The sound department has this big box that I link my iPod up to, and everybody is forced to dance in an undignified fashion to bad ‘70s disco, and nobody is ever allowed to behave like a dick. That’s the rule. And, it makes for a happy, constructive and creative workplace.

He also mentions that other series he was developing, but I assume that's on hold now?

I was looking to do this thing that I had sold myself and was developing, and I just got side-swiped by this script.

On "Morning Edition" on NPR yesterday there was a piece on Kyle (Killen? Is that the last name?) I was listening online at work and the stream kept cutting out, so I missed a bit, but the basis of the story is that he keeps writing these very intense and critically acclaimed things that never succeed. It was very complimentary about him, but also kind of implied that the public just never gets it, but that they were hopeful that they would for "Awake."

Sigh.
