This is a TV series about a police officer after a fatal car crash killed either his son or his wife. He lives in two realities. One where his son survived the accident, and one where his wife survived. He doesn't know which is the real one, and he doesn't want to know. It aired on NBC, and was cancelled after one season.

Found these twitter posts but I can't find the sources yet.
So AWAKE didn't LoneStar: It averaged a 2.1 at 10 & a 1.8 at 10:30 for prelim 1.9 18-49 for hour. Not great, not DOA. But: What's next week?
NBC's new drama AWAKE opens with a 1.9 rating and 5 share in the 18-49 demo; 6.2 million viewers.

Okay. These are the overnight ratings in the top markets around the country (i.e., NY, L.A., Chicago, etc.), so that's why they're low. The 6.2 is overall rating, the 1.9 is the 18 to 49 age group: the coveted demo. Again, both numbers are low because it only represents partial coverage. The full numbers come out next Wednesday. Those numbers will also include the DVR viewings, so if you've recorded it, watch it again sometime today through Sunday.

It looks like the Awake people on Twitter are a bit disappointed. But some places, they say it's pretty good. So I don't know... We have to wait and see.

Jason Isaacs's Awake made a solid start last night, according to Nielsen overnight data.
NBC's new fantasy crime drama premiered with 6.2m (1.9), helping the network to its best performance in the 10pm hour since April 2011.

For 4th-place NBC, those numbers aren't that bad. Let's see the final numbers first.

Those who have watched the pilot before the air date may come back for the second episode/ Only the die hards watched it again last night. Also I suspect there are many, many younger than 18 viewers who follow JI from HP.

I think, considering the numbers who must've watched it on NBC's site/Hulu/iTunes, that's not a bad result, dammit.

Let it get started....then make a decision.....Jason, Wilmer, Steve, Cherry, Laura, BD, and everyone need a chance to get their bearings.
Let's keep good thoughts on this. Several people I work with saw it on March 1st, and we all agree, it's GOOD TV.

Well, it's something positive:
Also on Thursday, the premiere of “Awake” captured NBC’s highest non-sports rating in the time period since May 2011 and biggest overall audience excluding sports since April 2010. “Awake” improved on NBC’s slot averages this season by 67 percent in 18-49 rating.
http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/0 ... 49/123309/
Awake was adjusted up a tenth of a point with adults 18-49 vs. the Thursday preliminary numbers.
Below, the first number is the 18–49 demo; the second is the share; and the third is the rating. So, it's doing the best of the 3 shows in the coveted demographic. Again, that's positive.

NBC Awake --------------------2.0-- 5-- 6.24
CBS The Mentalist-R---------1.7--- 5 --8.87
ABC Jimmy Kimmel Live-R -0.9 ---3 -3.03
