Emmy Mention

This is a TV series about a police officer after a fatal car crash killed either his son or his wife. He lives in two realities. One where his son survived the accident, and one where his wife survived. He doesn't know which is the real one, and he doesn't want to know. It aired on NBC, and was cancelled after one season.

Wow! That's a great blurb on him. It's an utter long shot, but wouldn't it be wonderful if he was at least nominated (and won!)? :D

I love his characters (movie and TV), but I find that his TV characters are exceptionally well-rounded (as was Lucius). I think it is due to the fact that he can stretch his wings over time of the season(s) and really explore them and make them mature better than he probably can with the movie ones (where he has a possible 2-3 hours, but -perhaps-in reality, only 30 or 40 minutes tops screentime). I use Lucius as the movie exception, because it was a recurring role and he was able to do an arc of growth for the character. I could see why he'd be intrigued by TV roles.

It would be great if he was nominated. It would be even more awesome if he won. I worry though that since the show was cancelled that he won't get as serious of a consideration come Emmy time. I'd hate for that to be a deterrent because cancelled or not ... Awake was a great show.

It's lovely to get recognized, especially by nonpartisan professional peers. If it helps his career, I'm all for it!

Me, too. I think that there is a second one floating around on FB as well.

There seems to be a feud going on between the Save Awake page and another page- so I'm just hoping that they can rein it in before it becomes noticed by anyone by whom it should not be noticed. *sigh*

He is at 5.3 right now. Not bad - could be better. Lots of talented competition but I think JI deserves a nom!
