Wolf of the Plains audiobook -- Jason to narrate?
Now this one has me scratching my head. Apparently Jason is to be narrating a new audiobook due to be released January 3rd about the life of Genghis Khan called Wolf of the Plains, by Conn Iggulden. It's currently listed at Amazon UK and The Book Place, although other sites have since been updated to exclude that reference. Being vastly curious I dropped Mr. Iggulden a line and asked if he could clear the matter. He graciously replied but said he knew nothing and was unable to contact Harper Collins for confirmation as they're closed for the holidays. Strange thing is both Amazon and The Book Place list an exclusive Q&A between Conn and Jason as part of a bonus feature in their summary, which you'd think would not have escaped Mr. Iggulden's attention at the time.
So my question is WTF? Was this just a mistake (and a pretty specific one at that), or is there some type of gag order till the audiobook is released, or ... what?
Deja Vu, man. It's like League of Extraordinary Gentlemen all over again.

Lady Above! If that is a really, true ad, I will have a copy of that playing in the background of everything I do! Thanks for the tip!

None, but Amanda at the Fanzone advises me that Harper Collins now lists Jason as narrator -- a credit visibly lacking when I checked after finding the Amazon link.

Looks like it's official, kids!

Desperate Housewives!
Here I am again! Thanks so much for the update, and I will definitely have this in my house! I can't imagine a better idea than listening to JI narrate all I ever wanted to know about war, violence, and the dreaded Wolf of the Plains. Thanks so much for this info! I checked and sure enough, there it is listed for ready in March, 2007.
According to Harper Collins B2B, the audiobook consists of 5 cd's.
That's like, a lot.
And I thought this was supposed to be an abridged version.

BTW, MG ... Wolf of the Plains is available now, but delivery may take several weeks once it's ordered.
