Koko: A Red Dog Story

Post by Hot Wheels » Sat Feb 15, 2020 8:36 pm

According to Wikipedia, this movie (which Jason narrates) premiered at Indiana’s Heartland Film Festival October 12, 2019, and was released on December 5, 2019. (Both 2011’s Red Dog and 2017’s Red Dog: True Blue won the Grand Prize for Best Narrative Feature.)

Hopefully, this 78-minute movie will find its way to us soon!

It is a documentary dramatised in parts, with clips from the other films.

A review from IMDb:

"A thoroughly entertaining behind-the-scenes re-telling of the 2011 Australian film "Red Dog", and the canine behind the titular role, Koko.

Through interviews, old footage and re-enactments, "Koko: A Red Dog Story" illustrates a vivid picture of the beloved kelpie and the lives of everyone he touched.

With brilliant comedic timing and plenty of endearing moments, this film will make you laugh and cry, and then make you want to go home to hug your canine friend/s.

A must-see for any dog-lover!"

I haven't noticed any of the Red Dog films on offer in the UK. :-(
