I was a little surprised that the articles I read did not mention Brotherhood perhaps because his character was only "based" on Whitey Bulger. Only movies were mentioned. I must say Mr. Bulger lived and died by violence.

Doubt that the murder was really about Bulger or what he had done. Apparently in prison murdering famous high profile prisoners gives the murderer some kind of "prison creed". That's why so many famous prisoners spend their jail time in isolation.
