Second season screenings this week

Post by Hilary the Touched » Mon May 26, 2008 4:35 pm

I was a bit naffed off--thanks to my buddy Kim, I knew that Showtime was re-broadcasting Season 2 of Brotherhood this week.
Thanks to Amazon.com, I knew they weren't going to be having the DVD available anytime soon.
So I set up my DVR for episode one--and discovered that they're not broadcasting in high-def. Season 2 won't be shown on any of Showtime's high definition channels. What gives??

I taped it again and it came out beautifully. I've got a digital cable box and the new TV is HD. I hadn't read anything about how it would be broadcast. I just presumed HD.

By the way, Jason looks gorgeous in HD. Watched the show beside tapingit. Worth every second.

I totally agree there, grannybear. :D My sister recently gave us this huge-screen Sony TV, and Jason's eyes are totally gorgeous up close......
I recorded 'One Too Many Mornings', and now I can't figure out how to re-play it......
Tonight is "The Lonesome Death of....', and I'm not sure I wanna watch.
Michael loses it and kicks this old, metal trashcan to a flat, useless hunk of junk. Rose isn't gonna be too happy. aaa.gif (But he kind of tells Eileen something that was pretty obvious since Season 1.....Pete had a bit of a crush on her.)
(My order for Season 1 didn't arrive..... :bat and I'm gonna want to watch.....)~marilaine

Hilary, this may help...I checked, and episodes 1 thru 5 are now available on Demand....could they be HD on Demand??

I'm sure the remaining eps will be added soon...

Eps 1 thru 5 are available on Demand until 7/1...

marilaine, did you record BH on DVD or VHS tape?? If on DVD, you must
"finalize" the recorded disk before it will play, and if you remove the DVD before that step, it won't work....

Thanks, Kim--I'll go check it out!
('Cause when it comes to viewing Jason Isaacs, the higher the resolution, the better!)

I still use a VCR. With 3 of them, 2 with my TV sets and 1 took out of the RV when I gave it to my daughter, I can't see buying a DVR until these give up the ghost.

It's always nice to rewind a scene and watch it over. Several times.

When I'm watching it on broadcast I'm always reaching for the remote to rewind and I can't. Not unless I want to pay Bright House another outragious fee.

with the announcement today of Season 2 DVD NOT AVAILABLE
until OCTOBER 28, people need to take advantage of watching
the reruns....although, tonight is the last episode of Season 2, they
are still available ON DEMAND....Eps 1 thru 5 until July 1,
Eps 6 thru 10 until July 8...

to me, this means that we won't be seeing Season 3 premiere until
the late fall....
