Showtime at TCA Summer Press tour 2008

TCA= Television Critics Association

Today was Showtime panels day. They had a panel of one actor plus the show creator each for: Weeds, Dexter, Californication and Brotherhood.

Blake Masters and Jason Clarke were there. Dexter and Michael C. Hall of course got the most attention.

It was good though to see Showtime put Brotherhood up there with their best shows.

When asked about the fact that their shows are all critically acclaimed, but reach relatively small audiences, Blake Masters (creator and executive producer of BROTHERHOOD) said “Britney sells about a million more albums than Tom Waits does, but I listen to Tom Waits.” I get what he’s saying, but what a weird analogy.

They used these words again..
"stars and show runners " This means it was Blake Master's baby that was due in June and that was why the production just getting started...

I read in an article, I think back early this year, that they didn't want to halt production while Blake had his baby (U know what I mean)...

so they wanted to wait until after the baby was born, sometime in
June...it may have been said by the guy from the RI film Commission..

I read all this info, then I can't remember who said what...LOL
