Hilary, I don't think they ever said that Rose had sex with Judd. I just presumed that they did. I thought that was why Rose always seemed upset about her sister and Judd having the baby Jealousy. From what I gathered from things Judd's wife said, he must have been quite a womanizer. I'm sure Rose and her sister were not the only ones. I wouldn't be surprised if she gave him a hard time about it. Which she should. Many times over.

I always thought those 2 were fooling around, and Michael was their
"love child"....that is why Rose favors Michael over Tommy...she married
to cover her pregnancy...as to her sister, I think there is more to it,
than the explanation that Rose gave...
Judd was definitely a womanizer and sounded like a real SOB...

Her marriage to Neil was just to cover her tracks? I always thought Neil was the reason Michael ended up the way he did....working for/with Freddie and all.
But, Tommy's "competition" with Michael to see who can act like the better son.....like he's better than Michael....but his political schemes always seem to come back to bite him in the end, and that's always Michael's fault. Now that he's "under" Donatello (Don-Don), and trying to
put his real estate scheme(scam?) back into action, he's going to start making a lot more animosities than his brother.
Or, is it just me? :weed

and it seems that Rose wasn't very affectionate to Michael.

Dang! Have I been watching the same show? It seems to me that Rose has always smothered Michael with attention, which is one of the many reasons why Tommy is so resentful of his brother. And that smothering has affected how Mikey views/deals with woman. Of course, I only had Psych 101 and 102, so my abilities with analysis are limited.

You can only give love if you have received love;
Right—healthy love not "fill a hole in my heart" possesive love, a la Rose.

I also agree with the theory that Michael is Rose and Judd's son.

Well, Michael's past is a mystery to me, but I can't say anything because I’ve only seen the first season. :uhoh The relationship between Michael and his mother seems to be very complex though, and all that smothering attention can be a way for Rose to compensate the love she couldn't give him during his childhood.

Actually... I just thought about this possibility. I don't even know if Rose has been a good mother in the past :loco

I completely agree.
