Red Dog: True Blue (New project)

Post by thunder » Tue May 19, 2015 7:52 am

Australian sources says JI is going to be in this Australiean move:
http://www.skynews.com.au/culture/showb ... turns.html
Blue Dog is set in outback Australia in the late 1960s and follows the story of a young boy named Mick who is growing up on a cattle station in the Pilbara.

Mick prepares himself for a life of hardship but instead finds adventure and friendship with the one-of-a-kind pup.
Apparently Jason Isaacs is going to play Mick as an adult - don't know if it's a big part (I think probably not, but I don't know)

And he confirms working in Australia (for one week, so probably not a big part) here:
I’m about to go off and do two very low-budget films, one in Australia and one in Tanzania, just for a week at a time(...)

Small part, big part-it's a part! And two of them! I don't know about you guys, but I might be going into serious withdrawal soon without the weekly sightings of Himself. (Sighs...no Jason, no Sleepy Hollow, no Agents of SHIELD, soon no more Turn). I'm clearly gong to have to hit the coloring book...

Yes, but I'm looking forward to Hannibal.

I'm going through serious Walking Dead withdrawal - I was only saved by 10 weeks of DIG. What will I do now? Just going to have to go all zombie on people. They canceled Battle Creek (which was very quirky but I liked it!) I almost hate checking out new shows during the summer - the ones I like seem to vanish quickly. :-(

Well, I finally signed up to Netflix. There is lots of stuff on there to keep me distracted.

I signed up for HBO Nordic to see the new Game of Thrones eps. How many have I had time to see so far?

OK, some news on Blue Dog, which has turned Red:

http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/mov ... m1r1g.html

RED DOG: TRUE BLUE Boxing Day
The filmmakers will be hoping that they can reconnect with the audiences who flocked in 2011 to Red Dog, a good-natured comedy about a kelpie who united a small community in the Pilbara in the 1970s. For this second instalment director Kriv Stenders is again on board, as is writer Daniel Taplitz, who adapted the Louis de Bernieres novel for the first movie. But this is an origins story with a new cast, led by 13-year-old Levi Miller (Pan, Jasper Jones), that also includes Jason Isaacs, Bryan Brown and John Jarratt. The original red dog, Koko, won't be there, sadly; he died of congestive heart failure in 2012.

But Boxing Day? Isn't that 26 December 2016??? So loooong???? :bawl
