While I'm sure friendly debates would be acceptable here, namecalling surely isn't. The easiest solution if you don't wish to read anything liberal or political while at this site, is to not peruse the "Political Material" section of the board. Problem solved.

Think you've just addressed your own complaint.
If you've some cogent defense to offer of anything the present administration has done, you are welcome to post it here. We'd encourage some reputable references to support it.
I think the operative word there is "discussion", which "I don't like your opinion you're an idiot" isn't.

I have to say that seeing the political section here was a plus in my book. It's refreshing to see people who aren't afraid to engage in a discussion about something with a little more depth than the shape of an actor's butt. (Not that I don't like that too!)

I took it as a sign that there are intelligent, educated people here.

Thank you, Luv. In my opinion, talking about other things makes for a well-rounded board. As long as the discussion remains civil and intelligent, we don't mind people offering different points of view. Name calling however, is never appropriate, and hardly the way to make a good first impression.
