On edit: oh geez they some extraneous shit in that link! If I had any confidence I could trim it without rendering it completely nonfunctional, I would--lemme know if it doesn't get the job done for you.

Finally got round to this search--
A list of publications nominating Shrub as Worst President Ever.
Hey, why listen to my opinion when you can explore so many others infinitely better qualified??
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 01509.html
http://www.harpers.org/archive/2008/04/hbc-90002804
Sample quote: “No individual president can compare to the second Bush,” wrote one. “Glib, contemptuous, ignorant, incurious, a dupe of anyone who humors his deluded belief in his heroic self, he has bankrupted the country with his disastrous war and his tax breaks for the rich, trampled on the Bill of Rights, appointed foxes in every henhouse, compounded the terrorist threat, turned a blind eye to torture and corruption and a looming ecological disaster, and squandered the rest of the world’s goodwill. In short, no other president’s faults have had so deleterious an effect on not only the country but the world at large.”

"HNN Poll: 61% of Historians Rate the Bush Presidency Worst"
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2009/ ... 240/682161
A discussion of unemployment on Shrub's watch--"Figures collected for Reuters by John Williams, from the electronic newsletter Shadowstats.com, suggest that, while we are not [at Great Depression levels yet], the comparison is not as outlandish as it might initially seem.
By his count, if unemployment were still tallied the way it was in the 1930s, today's jobless rate would be closer to 16.5 percent -- more than double the stated rate."
And so on.
I performed this search, by the way, using only the keywords "worst president ever", not naming any names.
I let the results do that for me.

grannybear, there was a recount, and the results were made available (no fanfare was made just small articles buried in the back pages of newspapers) in March 2001, stating that Al Gore had received a majority of votes in Florida, winning the electoral votes from FL, and therefore winning the election. However, since 43rd President-Usurp Shrub was already sworn in, the results were superfluous. That's why Gore said (and I'm paraphrasing 'cause I can't remember the exact words) "There are people who win elections, those who lose elections, and then there's that other third category."
There's a DVD about the 2000 election that has all the above information, along with all the eligible voter roles cheating and other attempts to steal the election, called Unprecedented: The 2000 Presidential Election. It's an eye opener; rent or buy it.

Thanks Helen8. I'll look and try to find it. I'm really interested.
I know that Jeb Bush gave the order to destroy the ballots and the courts said they couldn't be destroyed.
If this ha d happened in some other country where the candidates brother and one of his campaign managers were in charge of the voting we would have been screaming fowl.
I know it's water under the bridge now but it still gets me mad. We have to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Amazon's got it for $13.49. That's not too expensive for a civics lesson.
