He was described in the book as 'gaunt' looking??,

That may acoount for the gray eyebrows we've been seeing in some pix of him lately.

Warner Bros. scouts were looking at Hardwick Hall as possible Malfoy Manor

Not sure what the final decision was.

OMG! That's grannybear's phantom peacock!!!

I gotta admit, it is beautiful. And if Hardwick Hall is chosen as Malfoy Manor, there's a new place to visit on my UK itinerary, should I ever get the chance to go again.
