Huh. I guess we all have different eyes, then.

I'm pushing 50, and my husband is pushing 60, and I didn't think any of them looked our age or even close. They all looked younger to me. And Draco, too ... I didn't think he looked particularly old at all. I was thinking he looked like he was maybe 30, that they should've aged him more. LOL

Like I said, different eyes.

I guess we just have to agree to disagree. :D

I do think that Emma, Dan and Rupert look OK but they have gone way overboard with Tom and I think this is probably the reason for the reshoot, I guess it will be very interesting to see the changed result [if that is the reason] we should start taking bets!!!

Ginny, Harry and Hermione look okay, but Draco and Ron look a bit too old and Ron's forehead looks odd.
I read that Tom doesn´t have to return for filming, so Draco might look like that in the movie. :-|

Yeah. Unfortunately for the bad make-up, the refilming has to do with where Snape dies. In the book and in the first shoot, he dies in the Shrieking Shack. In the reshoot, he dies in the boathouse, the place where the student Snape spent time with student Lily.

Interesting - I was disapointed in the book with how he died. I hope they do more justice to Snape in the re-shoot.

Most likely. If it were the dialog, they would've looped it. I should think it was nothing to do with the set/dressing. I bet having to reshoot anything in the movies( apart from a Harry in the forest scene) would be very costly. I think everyone is aging fairly appropriately, I don't think Ron turned out as attractive as the casting directors might have hoped.

Say what? This is like what they did to Narcissa's hair. It just doesn't work. Good grief, didn't they have JK there to have any opinions? :rave

I'm sure there's a reason Narcissa's hair isn't blond LOL!

I haven't read all of the books either. I got to halfway through book 2 and kind of gave up. That was a long time ago though. I kind of like not knowing what is going to happen... I remember seeing something in a few places where Jason said he stopped reading the books because he would be really disappointed that parts of the book weren't being used, and I think that's pretty fair to be honest. I've seen movie adaptations from books that were so disappointing in the past that made me wonder why I made the effort.

At least this way, I have only a vague idea of what is going to happen, and I'm excited. :) I don't have to worry about saying OH mah gawd, why did they shoot this like this? Or Oooh man, that was totally not how I pictured it, and I'm kind of relieved.

I'm sure sometime in the future I'll read them, I'm just mega lazy right now and all the books are back at my parents' house.

From what I understand they decided to go with the two tone look to show that she is both from the House of Black and Malfoy Family.

Personally I think it looks horrible.

Back On Topic. Yes, I read somewhere that the reshoots are something to do with Snape. I'll be interested to see how it will be done.

I do think that Tom looks bad in the ageing make-up. No way is he supposed to be about 37ish. I'm 36 and I haven't aged like that.
