XD XD. Well you've got to make the best of it.
I have to admit I've been wanting to get one for some time but haven't seen many releases that have interested me enough to want to buy one. This just might.

The Patriot was actually the first BluRay movie I bought. I got the "Extended Cut" which had all the deleted scenes put back in, and it was incredible!

I got mine at my local Blockbuster (video rental/sale store for those of you not familiar with the name). They were having a HUGE going-out-of-business sale so I managed to snag the BluRay for pretty cheap. Of course, my husband turns to me and says "All of the movies in the store and you go for THAT one?"
Guess my love of that movie doesn't go unnoticed....

They were pretty expensive in the US but now that Blu-ray is getting uber popular the prices have come down.

That is
some fireplace overmantel behind him. I didn't notice it in the movie . . . 'cause I was far too busy concentrating on Lucius.
Malfoy Manor really rocks!

I'm just hoping that some of the 'Blu-Ray' stuff will also be on the 2 disc normal edition (I've only seen one indication that there will even be a 2 disc version though, so am keeping my fingers crossed.)
I hate the way WB packages Potter - compared with the DVD releases and glossy 'making of' books that we had for Lord of the Rings (or even Stardust and Sweeney Todd) Warner's own releases, and the stuff they licence, is very shabby, and seems to be entirely aimed at 12 year olds with rich parents.

Same tired beat down look as in the film. I wonder how they got his eyes to puff up - or if they made him stay up for 72 hours or something. He looks like someone sprayed pepper spray in his face.

Oh must be the make up...but he could be really tired, he is human after all and acting is a tough job.
