BOO! HISS! Former Chief X

Post by marilaine » Sat Apr 04, 2009 5:34 pm

Awhile back, a police chief got into hot water for something he said over the phone which was recorded, and he ended up with two choices.....
RETIRE, or be terminated from his positiion.
This was is the biggest controversy in the Coastal Bend, and, though he originally opted to bow out, they ended up giving him a lower position, with less pay......and that was supposed to be done with..... :furthermore

Well, he's suing the city for lost wages.
OH, PU-LEEZE! Gimme a break. This guy has the absolute nerve to be whining about lost wages and decrease in pay. If he wants to complain about his punitive pay, he should become a waiter, making like $2.50 and hour, and having to give a portion of his gratuity to the checher, the dishwasher, the cook.........etc.
Or, if he really thinks he's in a disadvantage, he should be told to clean rooms, like the really nasty, disgusting one I had today (but, will not discuss the :spew2 of it all. )

He's another in a long line of Bernie Madoffs, AIG executives, CEOs, etc., who feel they are entitled to every penny they can get their hands on. :rave

$2.50? That's about £1.69... minimum wage is more than triple that here...

You always find that's it's people who have a decent income who complain that they don't have enough money. *sigh*

Minimum wage in the U.S. is $7.50 (some states have differing amounts). People who earn tips are paid the lower wage and have to pay taxes on a portion of the tip . . . whatever's left after the busboy(-person), etc., get their share.
