I was in the Air Force for just under eight years.

Yep - that's about what I looked like - with a little less facial hair!!!

LOL!!
I'd second Marie's encouragement to get things checked by your dentist. I know it can be scary, but you may be right that it's just that they're erupting and everything's normal; if not, it's better to get 'em tackled and taken care of. I'd go for a couple of hours of significant discomfort over on-again, off-again pain for years!

Um. This is experience talking . . . er . . . writing. Since my wisdom teeth had no decay, I felt that there was no reason to remove them. Thought my denti$t at the time was more interested in joining a country club on my teeth. I put off pulling the wisdoms until my mid-forties. BIG mistake. One tooth had roots so long that they had hit the bone and started curving back upwards. My now dentist could only pull out the three normal-root wisdoms, called a nearby oral surgeon to take me that day, and remove the fourth. It took him a long time to get all the pieces out. I was sucking nitrous oxide like crazy!!

So, if you can, do have them pulled when you're younger.

Please don't remind me of wisdom teeth, Helen. I remember having mine removed when I had my braces removed. OUCH! NOT exactly an easy recovery.
I kind of woke up in the middle of the "procedure", and I remember hearing a ripping sound as he pulled on one of them. Decided, "NOPE! I'm going back to sleep. LATERZ!"

Well my wisdom tooth are just coming out (they're very teeny tiny) so I'm guessing it's hurting because of that. They're on each sides of my mouth.
Aww, poor sis! Hope you're feeling better by the time you read this :hug

I had trouble with the first two wisdom teeth and the Dentist pulled them.
Then said I would probably have trouble with the other two so why not have them pulled now. Good decision.
Have them all pulled before they go bad.

That's ok honey. So, apparently this swine flu is milder than expected. Thank heavens! Mexico has already opened their stores and schools already and some schools here have opened too.
But health officials say it may come back during the fall, stronger than this time, so they're already making a vaccine against it.
I'm still a bit freaked out because I think I'm getting a cold........

CCISD had closed schools in the area, and the students were told they were on daytime curfew, but yesterday, several boys were discovered at a skate park downtown by local news achors. I happened to hear the "interview" they had with the boys, and wrote down what they said about the curfew.

Anchor: What school do you go to?
Kid#1: Kaffie middle school.
Anchor: Are you aware there's a daytime curfew in effect?
Kid#1: THERE IS? :???:
Anchor (to second boy): Did you know there's a daytime curfew?
Kid#2: Yeah!
Anchor: What are you guys doing out here?
Kid#2: (stammering) Wha-? Huh? There's a curfew?

OMG! No better way to bust these kids than on two newscasts......esp. when their parents are likely to be watching, and BOY, ARE THEY GONNA BE GROUNDED!

LOL!
Ugh children! Kids excel at taking advantage of situations and playing dumb! Honestly!
Like this John Mayer song said
"One day our generation is gonna ruin the population"
I would die if my kid ever did something like that....but then again...I don't like children so I guess I'm not having any

You know, I think the same way. I'm just not good with kids, can't picture myself as a mother. Okay, maybe one day but it's not in my plans.

I think I'm pretty good with them...but I always ignore them. When I was in my cousin's baby shower there were babies everywhere. I just totally ignored them and was talking to my friend the whole time.
They kinda  annoy me a little
