Online Attention Seekers
This is a rant a long time coming, as its really a personal pet peeve of mine. I often search twitter topics for "Jason Isaacs" to see if any new press releases, photos, events etc have been listed. Sometimes, it pays off. Other times {like today} I get really disgusted. A few posts down, I see a link to a tumblr account where someone has posted: "Pregnant with Jason Isaacs' baby"
Obviously someone's desperate bid for attention, but seriously. Do they not stop to realize how not only utterly asinine they look by making shit up like this?

Ridiculous. This is why I rarely search twitter topics- don't have the patience to read this kind of crap.I see a link to a tumblr account where someone has posted: "Pregnant with Jason Isaacs' baby"
"Oh Jason Isaacs is handsome, he is very hot!!!!"
"I want his babies!"
Stupid fan girls. Get a life, whores.

One has to develop a tough skin and let all that stupid stuff slide on by...
a long time ago, we asked Mr Jason about crap on the internet, and he laughed and said most of
it was said by his friends, trying to start arguments...
I agree, Twitter can be a horrible place for people to post their personal blogs....

Its good that he doesn't let these things bother him, I imagine most celebrities don't. I just wish these stupid little bints would get a life. I mean could you imagine someone's wife or girlfriend reading something like that and believing it?! Or their kids somewhere down the line? Even when I was younger, I would never dream of posting something so stupid.
IDK maybe we're just a different class of fan as we seem to actually have respect for the man and a love to see him succeed.

totally agree with you belladisordine
we have respect and admiration....
although, there are many folks who read something, and think it's the truth (especially on the internet)
My opinion, folks who post 'stupid' things are just trying to get attention...SAD

Re: Online Attention Seekers
Some people doesn't understand that social media is a public form of communication. So it's not a friendly nice chat with a closed group of friends, it's the equivalent to standing with a microphone in front of a large audience. And I just wonder: Would they still have said the same things they write on Twitter then?
I don't think they are creating any problems for JI, because no one takes them seriously. They create a lot of problems for themselves, though. For example: A lot of possible employers check social media before hiring. And if their wall is full of sexual fantasies about some celebrity (or more), then the good impression they did at the interview, may be lost when the employer see that...

WHAT A NUTTER
She clearly needs help......
Twitter and Facebook do have their place in people's lives but this is a sad way to get attention and obviously not nice for the recipient of these cruel rumours.
One of the reasons why I had to close my Facebook/Twitter account... though that's a different topic altogether!!!!
Roseanna.

Re: Online Attention Seekers
I have to admit, I used to think that when I was in my twenties
Now I HAVE people in their twenties thinking I am an old fart!!
It depends on how people define old. Working in healthcare, I have seen people in their eighties look "Young" It is how you live you life and how you look after yourself as Jason clearly does.
Roseanna x

And then you find you are made up of two different parts. Like me. My mind is young. Open to new ideas and things but my legs and lungs are old. So it goes both ways. It's more important to be young in heart and mind. Keep that thought.

Re: Online Attention Seekers
There is a fine line between being a fan and being a crazy fan. But I'm still a bit cautious about criticizing others. There are people out in the big wide world who would think posting to a board about an actor is nuts. I try not to post or tweet hurtful things - but obviously a lot of folks out there do that sort of thing. I'd think any actor has to have very thick skin in todays instant communications world.
