TRAILER!

A fencing Jason Isaacs--in tights, no less!! Sorry--a historical drama concerning machinations and maneuverings in the court of Spain's Philip II, erstwhile husband to England's Queen Mary Tudor and dispatcher of the ill-fated Armada. Velvet and ruffed collars. Unfortunately, it appeared only sporadically in theatres, and is tough to find even on DVD.

Moderators: thunder, fruitbat, Chari910, Marie, Helen8, Gillian, kjshd05, catloveyes, LadyLucius, kate, again

It looks like it was filmed in English, and then dubbed. I hope that bodes well for us.

Thanks, Char!!

I love the trailer!
Looks extremely good!
Although I hate movies when they're dubbed in spanish...
I love it when he peers outside the little square window in the carriage (was it a carriage?)
Muy bueno!

....OK.....Looks like he had a large part. I thought from the listng in the IMDB board that it was one of the minor roles and I think he's past that point. This looks like a part with meat on it's bones.

As I said before, the move will never come to my neck of the woods.

Will have to wait for the DVD. D__m.

I think I heard, "Bring me the head of Antonio Perez!"

I do hope we get to see this movie. It looks and sounds great.

Can I have that picture of his eyes to hang on my computer desk?

That is one sexy picture.

OK ...I've watched the trailer several times and now I undertand why they all died so young in those days. No one could breathe. The women aren't too bad but the men look as if they are an overstuffed easy chair. All those clothes from the waist up (and not too much from the waist down). They look uncomfortable. Those ruffled collars don't help much. Look at them. How can they move?
