Grannybear I totally agree on the Brotherhood outfits! Baggy is out! Fitted is IN!
Damn..I should be the stylist in Brotherhood! I would make him look...*snaps fingers* FIERCE!...with nice leather jackets and tight but not too tight dark denim (cuz dark is more sophisticated)

I was just being daft. I know what you're saying and I have a vague understanding of the notion of wearing things that are "flattering" because it is thrust at us all from a very early age.grannybear wrote:I'm not saying he dosen't look great but I think his clothes need to have a better fit. Maybe the look goes with the role.
However, what is aesthetically pleasing is subjective and morphs rapidly with time and culture. And I also know that when I hear men's descriptions of how they would like women to dress, it makes me feel extraordinarily queasy.
What I'm trying to say is that I'll take Jason in whatever packaging he is delivered.
My little slashy heart absolutely adored his brief appearance in this episode. That last scene is now in my top 10 JI moments.

I guess the Brotherhood wardrobe DOES go with the character, so I guess it's ok..but let's hop off this wardrobe/clothes/fit subject!Marie wrote:Hmmm he does look fine to me. I love the black shirt & jacket thing.
He could be wearing a dress and I would love him....wait.......he's done that already..........

Maria, I hear ya--and yes, maybe for a moment, by a few points!
I think the costumers were trying to achieve two different things though--in this show he was supposed to look sophisticated and self-aware, whereas in Brotherhood, Michael is supposed to look more "urban" and menacing. Since JI in person is really slim, the bulkier clothing may be an attempt to make him more physically imposing.
But he does get his kit off enough times to compensate, I think!!!

I totally agree with the whole Brotherhood wardrobe. Is JI really slim?
