I'm back!

Hey Y'all,

Well, I'm back - at least for a while anyway. Things are a wee bit quieter nowadays and I've had some time to catch up with most stuff. The house is at least 60% re-built after being flooded by a leaky roof in October, and my friend and my stepmom are finally getting their cancer treatments, and are doing reasonably well, all considered. DH is still looking for jobs and I'm still in research.

The insurance compnay is holding back funding until we get more work done (funds which we need to buy materials, pay the contractor, etc... DUH!), so at the moment there really isn't too much to do. In the meantime, it looks like I've missed a lot of stuff with my fellow Lost Girls, so I'm gonna get to it!
Hmmm, looks like this may take me a while. I think I
ll get myself a little somethin' and settle in...

Aww, thanks guys! Yeah, insurance companies are kinda loopy, but it's really okay, it's giving me some much needed time for me, you know, getting back to reading some books I got for the holidays, spending some quality time with the good Colonel, etc.

Well, you ladies know how it is... can't pick just one. Of course, it's difficult trying to limit yourself to 2, but I was new here, and I didn't want y'all to know what a slut I was just yet!

Anywho, it's good to be back. I didn't get the chance to check out any other of the subforums yesterday, so I'm off to do so now.

Aaaw, you guys! I missed yall, too. Seriously, it's been so crazed and it seems like I hear more bad news about my stepmom every week, so this really is a wonderful way to escape a little each day.
