Ewwwww, so that's what King Henry was eating on that last episode of the Tudors. Suicide by high trans fats.

OMG! I loved the Tudors! Only person to watch it out of my friends of course...until I mentioned the fact that for some reason Henry is quite fit
Can't remember the last episode at the moment thought. Which series was it? Last I saw he had just got on to Jane. Whooo!

Three-hour-long Lord of the Rings movies didn't cause any complaints. As for kids sitting still for 3-hour-long Harry Potter movies shouldn't be a problem as the stories would hold their attention since most have read the books and want to see the stories as much as we do. So, I'm puzzled about why they have to leave out major plot points and instead concentrate on minor story lines, e.g., Ron's love life.

It's a war! No one cares about a kid's love life! Some nutter with a flat nose...who is played by a very good looking actor, who has other good looking actor followers, is trying to take over the world. Learn to prioritize! Normal kids like gore...not soppy soppy sop sop!

Yes, that is true. Some action scenes involving blood and gore rake in more $$$ than some sappy, slop job. Good point.

And, Helen8.....thank you for getting us all back on topic.

Amen!

 I got carried away...

I think the HP films are good adaptations, but the only one of them that is a really good FILM is the third one... (please don't hate me, I know Lucius isn't there). Cuarón is the only director so far who dared to free himself from the books and make a film that can stand on it's own two feet.

 And now, I think I will have to go and live in exile for a while aaa.gif

Amen Thunder! Prisoner of Azkaban was the best HP film. Cuarón created this very dark atmosphere that fit the book perfectly. He's such a great director. I wish he came back....

I think we are one of the few people who actually adore PoA. I really thought it was amazing....yes it missed many scenes. Yes it wasnt exactly like the book...but it was a great movie.
Alfonso Cuarón is a great director who def. took raised the bar! Good job Alfonso!

COS forever!
I know everyone's lines and even do the accents and everything...I found this out when I was thirteen on the way home on a coach from Germany and it was on the screen.
"Pack it in!"
